On Oct 11st 2024, Professor Yiyu Cai, Assistant Professor from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Macau University of Science and Technology, delivered a highly insightful talk at the Cao Group. Professor Cai, who completed his Ph.D. at Rice University and postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania, shared his latest advancements in reconfigurable optical materials based on non-equilibrium self-assembly. His presentation covered cutting-edge research in controlling the interaction of light with metal nanostructures, introducing innovative techniques for nanoparticle assembly and optical property modulation. The talk provided new perspectives for multifunctional nanomaterials and their applications in energy conversion, sensing, and optoelectronic regulation.
