On August 23, 2024, Prof. Cao hosted an seminar featuring five distinguished speakers. The seminar opened with a presentation by Professor Haiping Xia from the Southern University of Science and Technology on “Carborin: A New Aromatic Structural Unit”. This was followed by Professor Jianjun Cheng of Westlake University, who spoke on “Helix Enabled Functions”.
After a brief tea break, the seminar resumed with Professor Zhanting Li from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, who delivered an insightful lecture on “Host-Guest Chemistry in the Design of Supramolecular Drugs.” Next, Professor Wenke Zhang from Jilin University presented his research on “Polymer Chain Structure and Nanomechanical Properties”. The seminar concluded with a thought-provoking talk by Professor Hongjun Chen from Westlake University, titled “Colloidal Nanosynthesis beyond Facet Control”.
