On October 28, 2023, the kickoff meeting for the National Program on Key Basic Research Project on “Supramolecular Catalysis” (Young Scientist Program) was held in College of Chemistry at Beijing Normal University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Lanjun Mao, dean of the School of Chemistry, and Professor Qingzheng Yang, vice dean. Deputy Director Li Dan of the High-tech Research and Development Center, Professor Jiulin Li, and Professor Fei Dou, Vice President of the Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, attended the launch meeting. Professor Huaping Xu of Tsinghua University, Professor Congyang Wang of the Institute of Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhibo Liu of Peking University, and Professor Jiangfei Xu of Tsinghua University were present at the meeting as guiding experts.
The experts raised specific comments and suggestions for the research ideas and the solution to key scientific and technological issues. The convening of this kick-off meeting is of great significance for the implementation of the project.
